The first thing you should know is that this game is a real-time multiplayer game. You are playing with real players, with the exception of Robber Baron Castles and Nomad Camps. You start with a wooden keep and wooden walls. You can build woodcutters, stone quarries, and farmhouses. For the military, Barracks, Guardhouses, Hospital, Stronghold, and many more. You can station an amount of troops to guard your wall and castle. The amount of troops you can hold on the wall is determined by what level towers you have. Your wall and gate offer extra protection, which increases as you upgrade them. You can also make a Defense Workshop and a Siege Workshop, You can produce resource tools like Hurling Rocks and Gate Reinforcements, or Tar Pitch Kettles or a Portculis. From level 37, you can dig a moat around your castle.
The production of each resource per hour depends on the respective levels and quantities of the production buildings. Castles and Outposts have different workloads for each resource. Once you reach this limit, resource production will decline as the workload does too. A main castle has a 100% resource production workload for three buildings. Outposts typically have a 100% workload for wood/stone, and a 100% workload for food. Super Outposts, which have bubbles around them, have a 100% workload for 8 production buildings there are many types of ops (outposts)
like with 8 wood , 8 stone and 8 food with minor wood or stone each of them will have food for sure.
The next thing are espionage agents and city guards. Espionage agents can look at other castles defenses (real players and Robber Barons!) or tell you how many of each resource they have. You can set each mission to a different accuracy level. The higher the accuracy, the better risk of being caught. More agents reduce the chances of being detected. You get agents from the number of Taverns you build and how well you upgrade them. The way to prevent successful espionage is to build many guardhouses, which add 5 city guards every time you upgrade them. Sabotage agents can set enemy buildings on fire. However, if you are caught, it will be war. Attacking players is not a good idea, the alliances may go to war, he may be sent support, or you can be kicked from an alliance.
Then we have horses, which are unlocked through building the Stables. They can increase the speed of your army. They have 3 different speeds, one costs coins, and the other two cost Rubies.
Attacking Robber Barons is a good way to get equipment and rubies for free. You can equip the items you find to make commanders more powerful in the Encampment. Every time you upgrade the encampment, you gain 3 more commanders to equip. Here are the qualities of equipment and their matching colors. You can merge 6 equipment items to make an item of better quality.

Robber Baron Castles (RBC'S)
The enemies created at the castles are not randomly generated, so the information shown here can be re-used by replicating the attack shown or by attacking using your own strategy. The following tips are used to decide how an RBC has to be attacked.
Using the right units: Each attacking unit can attack using melee weapons or ranged weapons. As a result, each unit has two defense values; one for how well they do against melee attacks and another for ranged attacks. Typically, melee defenders such as halberdiers are good units to defend against melee attackers and ranged defenders such as longbowmen are good against ranged attackers. As a result, its good to send the right units, i.e, sending bowmen against macemen. Units such as armed citizens have poor defence against both attack types, so either melee or ranged attackers can be used.
The courtyard bonus: Attacking and winning 3 flanks will give the attacker a 30% bonus, 2 flanks will give no bonus, 1 flank will give a -30% bonus. Any surviving troops from the attacker and defender are sent to the courtyard for a final attack. For this reason, most of the attack approaches have attacked 2 flanks, and sometimes 3 flanks where a 30% attack bonus is useful at the courtyard.
Dummy waves: The attack approaches, presented in this page, sometimes suggest sending a lone maceman or spearman in the first wave, followed by a stronger attack on the second wave. This technique nullifies the defensive tools used by RBs, and can reduce the number of seige tools used, given that siege tools must overcome the RB's defensive tools. RBCs have defence tools for only one wave, so if a unit is sacrificed, the defence tools will be used up for the second wave. It does not matter which unit is sent as a sacrifice, but spearmen are the cheapest and fastest unit produced. Lets say for example the wall is at 126% and two defense rocks were used, after the defense rocks were used in the first wave, the wall is now at 76%, so on the second wave, one would only need 8 ladders instead of 13. Some players consider using tools on RBCs a waste, given that the loss of army is relatively small .
Loot: You get the same loot for an RBC of a certain level, regardless of how many attacks are needed to advance it to the next level. There is a maximum loot (wood, stone and food) for each RB level, so once you have reached the maximum, sending more troops will not get you more loot and will waste coins in sending them. If you don't send enough troops you won't get the maximum. You get the same number of gold coins for a victory, regardless of the number of surviving troops. The loot is split as follows: 22% (±5%) wood, 22% (±5%) stone, 56% (±10%) food for a total of 100%. The bonuses on your commanders may affect the results listed here.

A building is a structure in the game. Certain buildings manufacture items, others add to the population. There are two types of buildings: military buildings and civil buildings.
Civil Buildings
A civil building generally contributes to the castles resources.
Military buildings
Military buildings usually enhance one's military power.
A military building is a building that affects the security of the castle. It boosts the strength of the castle.
Level 1 to 10
Only train macemen or crossbowmen you are training because they are more efficient. Use high defence troops the people that you are attacking are powerful. Only build things that you need to build for quests. Only if you don't have enough cash get spearmen. Do not give to your alliance and do not donate to people.
Level 11 to 23
Train anything apart from spear men and if you have barracks level 3 do not train macemen train swordmen. They are good price but not powerful and are known as the worst soldiers. Only build thing for quests unless it is a farmhouse so your troops don't die. Only donate gold to your alliance and only donate small amounts (100 to 250) of wood or stone not food.
Cash is the normal currency which you would usually use to give to alliance or donate to someone else. Cash you can get from: tax, quests, missions, daily quests and people donating to you. You can spend cash on lots like traders or forging.
Wood is a sub-currency which you might use to donate to your alliance. Wood you can get from: woodcutters, missions, quests, people donating to you and daily quests. You spend wood on upgrades, building and events.
Stone is a sub-currency which you might use to donate to your alliance. Stone you get from: stonecutters, missions, quests people donating to you and daily quests. You spent stone on upgrades, building and events.
